Our PPC Strategy
Strategy Session
In order for internet marketing to be effective, a strategic plan must be in place to set realistic goals. The first step is working directly with you to explore and evaluate your goals and online objectives. Together we will establish your most important keywords and phrases, descriptions and content selections and assign relevance based on your specific business and marketing goals.
The first step is a strategic discovery session, with members of your web, marketing, and management teams. This meeting is designed to:
- Clarify specific goals and objectives for the campaign
- Explore and evaluate specifications for search terms, page content, descriptions, HTML code, meta data, domains and referable links
- Examine your present web site design and determine if graphical or structural changes are necessary
- Set realistic expectations, timeframes and deliverables
- Compile lists of local and national market competitors for a detailed competitive analysis
- Review all web log reports for all web sites
- Discuss possible partners and resources you could approach about developing a link popularity program
Search Term Selection Process
Once we fully understand your products, your target market, and your goals, we help you select search engine keywords and phrases, or search terms that match that market. Using search term research software and online tools, we will determine whether your intended market is actually searching for your products and services – and how they are searching. NewTide will then deliver a Search Term Analysis and Recommendations Report which provides our recommendations for an effective list of search terms for the campaign, showing the popularity of your selected list as well as recommendations for new terms you might not have considered at first.
PPC Continuous Improvement
The continuous improvement phase includes the following services:
- Analytics – We analyze the flow of traffic to your site from your various ad groups, campaigns and individual ad/keyword combinations, to determine which ads work the best and which are not performing.
- Ad Copywriting – We employ over 28 rules when developing ad copy and conduct A/B split tests across multiple ad versions to determine which ads perform best in both click through rates and in conversions.
- Ad Optimization – As we test your ads, we perform variable changes to them for seasonal, geographic, keyword choice and ad placement.
- Bid Management – We find effective ways to get more exposure, branding and clicks using your ideal budget. The bid management process includes recommendations to adjust the quarterly Google and Yahoo budgets.
- Competitive Review – We analyze competitors and determine how we can differentiate your ad from theirs and your site pages from theirs.
- Conversion Tracking – Implementation of conversion tracking code and ongoing reporting.
- Geographic Targeting – Unlike other search engine marketing methods, PPC ads can target specific areas, nations, and even language groups. This allows you to be competitive on very general key phrases like “pizza delivery” within a specific geography. Your ads can be set to only display to searchers in a specified area. Furthermore, you locally optimized ads will display on Google Maps and other sites that target similar areas. Searchers in your target region are more likely to make purchases from companies that advertise locally.
Conversely, a very specific (niche) key phrase such as “1957 Corvette intake manifold gasket” can be delivered to a massive international, multi-lingual market beyond the search engine results pages.
- Monthly Reporting – Detailed reporting of costs, impressions and click thru rates; conversion tracking of optimized ads; analytics on site traffic, geographic patterns, and user behaviors; recommendations for landing page changes to increase conversion activity
